You know you don't even have to use the current retail quest tracker, right? You can use your minimap tracker to deselect Points of Interest and Quest POI, and really, just disable all the tracking options. Glad I played Classic when it actually was meant to be, before this senseless babysitting. This is saving people that step but ONLY the people who want to use it. Back in the day you tried to figure it out and when that failed, you went to thottbot or your site of preference where the community had figured it out for you. I'm on the fence as to whether I'll use it or not, but I like the option to have it.

Not sure if I want Questie or any addons at release, but later I will download it for sure.Įxactly this (and sorry for your health issues). Because of this I have struggles get into Lore or even remember what I just read. Personally I have health issues that makes reading harder. Yes, it's sort of a difficult thing, but it's more of a RP element. What matters is the difficulty of the quest. It does not auto complete the questĪ lot of people will go to Wowhead for help. Regardless, i won't use this addon - but i welcome others chanse to do so. More like - "Old Point and Click Adventure Games" level of difficulty, if we're being candid, in some cases. That's not saying players are dumb - that's saying Vanilla Questing, at times, was "obscure" at best. Of not being able to play the game - because you find yourself stumped. Tho, to all the people who need guidance - more power to you. I will barely quest at all, to level - so, this does not bother me in the least. I'm totally fine with finding out stuff myself, as that's how I originally played Classic as well, unless I really got stumped, then I went to Thottbot :) Comment by Doorsfan on T06:25:30-05:00 Comment by ZekkDistor on T06:18:11-05:00ĭoes anyone know if there is an option to disable everything except for the function to show where there are quests available you haven't done yet? I use grail for that in the modern one, to make sure I don't miss any quests, and I'd like that possibility in classic as well. Hope classic permits unique id for npcs as that would make addons such as questie a lot better at keeping track. is like the National Enquirer of old.įor shame Comment by Cr0wl0ck on T00:44:16-05:00 I love how they spotlight controversial addons so we can have a debate and arguments for whatever reason. I wonder if DugiGuide's will work? ive been a subscriber of their guides for years. I'm so happy :-D Comment by Brunhill on T17:09:39-05:00 People will be complaining this is not vanilla /classic feeling at all :-D Now with the modern addons classic will turn into outdated modern WoW actualy :-Dįinally the classic hypers will be stfu :-)Īnd I'm totally confident there will be huge amount of players in the first days on classic release, but will be dead in 2 months. Then arguing how classic was OP that you didn't know where the quest should be completed and so on, unless you check the certain guide on internet. They are complaining about BFA how much it is babysitting players.

This is gonna ruin classix ecperiences entirely. I'm so glad and happy to see this coming into the Classic :-D Then, you need to extract the addon in your Classic WoW folder, which will look something like this:

First, you must download the addon from WoWInterface or other Addon repositories. Installing addons in Classic follows the same flow as installing one manually in retail WoW. Besides that, it also adds icons to your world map and minimap, showing where can you loot or kill enemies for your quest, where escort quests end, or where can you turn in the quests.īesides all those, Questie also adds Available quests to the World Map, so you know what quests are available or not before heading out in the world. The addon adds tooltip information on quest interests, like Objects, Items, and NPCs, showing that they provide progress to a certain quest. Questie restores many features, which makes questing smoother. All questing quality of life changes weren't present in Classic, however, which is where Questie comes into play. The questing experience is very simplified in modern WoW, with many tools available out of the box made by Blizzard to aid you with your everyday quest. Click here to download Questie on WoWInterface
